The “Eclat culturel” group was founded in September 2004 after the event of the same name (an event demonstrating the various musical professions, whose aim was to present these to all the schoolchildren in the area and to the general public).

This took place around June 21st (well-known date of the annual Festival of Music).

It is right to remember that this event was the initiative of Hélène Gilles in partnership with the "Le rayon de soleil" group, joined by a number of people interested in the subject, all entirely voluntary.

In order to ensure the continued existence of this project it was therefore necessary to set up the association "L’Eclat Culturel".

So, the 2005 programme of events was able to kick off with the theme of Brazil.

In order to widen its aims, the group decided to expand into any kind of cultural project - music, theatre, dance, cévenol storytelling etc...but also, to join up with other events and groups in other districts in the area and all year round.

During 2005, we have been able to enjoy evenings called “Our Cévennes dialect” led by the “El Reviure” club, traditional dancing, rock concerts, blues concerts, orchestral concerts and song, as well as a theatrical performance by the “Cigalon” company.

Our events take place in very beautiful venues: the Open-air Theatre, the vaulted rooms in the “Mazade”, the church, not to mention round about the village.

In 2006, we will be sure to programme again some of the events, which were so popular and well attended, as well of course as some new entertainments.
