"Chabassaïde" is a name in the language of Occitania, referring to the land on which a part of the hamlet of Chalap is built.

The Chabassaide association has been set up with the aim of organizing encounters and cultural activities in Chalap (communal meals, reading evenings, concerts, discussion groups).

Concerts, musical events and courses take place every year during the summer and the autumn and Easter holidays.

In 2005, the association organized several music courses open to all levels:

- Diatonic accordion,

- Celtic harp,

Concert by students on the improvisation course

- Flamenco guitar,

- Violin,

- Flute,

- Ensemble music (all instruments together),

- Improvisation,

and including yoga.

At the end of every course, free concerts open to the public take place with the course leaders and students, either at Chalap (at the course venues) or in the open-air theatre.
