How to get to Sénéchas |

ROAD MAPS Use Michelin map N° 721 "National-France" and Michelin map N° 587 "Régional - Languedoc - Roussillon". GPS REFERENCE FOR SÉNÉCHAS TOWN HALL AND CHURCH Longitude : 4° - 1' - 36" - E Latitude : 44° - 19' - 36" - N ITINERARY COMING FROM THE NORTH A) Via the centre of France - 640 km (400 miles) from Paris (recommended route). Motorway A10 to Orléans, Motorway A71 to Clermont-Ferrand then motorway A75 towards Le Puy and Montpellier until exit 20 for Le Puy. Take the N102 towards Brioude and Le Puy. Go round Brioude and continue on towards Le Puy until a right turn onto the D906 well before Le Puy. Continue on the D906 towards Mende until you take a right turn onto the N88. Continue on the N88 towards Pradelles and Langogne, through Pradelles until you reach Langogne. In Langogne, turn left on to the D 906 towards Villefort. Go through Villefort and continue on the D906 to Génolhac. In Génolhac, turn left onto the D134 for Bessèges. About 3 km after Génolhac fork left onto the D318, a narrow road which climbs up to Sénéchas. B) Passing through the Rhone valley - 740 km (460 miles) from Paris Motorway A6 to Lyon Motorway A7 until the exit for Montélimar-Nord. Take the N7 until the start of Montélimar but do not go into the town, take the heavy traffic bypass to the right, then right again onto the N102 towards Le Teil. In Le Teil take the N102 towards Aubenas. After Villeneuve de Berg but before Lavilledieu turn left onto the D103 as far as Vogue. In Vogue take the D579 and go through Saint Maurice, Pradons and continue towards Ruoms. Bypass Ruoms on the D579 then take the D111 (towards Saint Ambroix /Alès). Then take the D104 to Saint Paul le Jeune. After Saint Paul le Jeune fork right for Saint Ambroix and Alès. Just after Sauvas turn right onto the D351 towards Gagnières and Bessèges. Go through Gagnières on the D130 (continuation of the D351) until Foussignargues. After Foussignargues turn right at T-junction for Bessèges. Go through Bessèges and at the end, just after the church on your right, turn left for Génolhac. Cross the bridge over the Cèze and turn right onto the D17 towards Génolhac. Stay on the D17 through Peyremale and Mas Herm towards Génolhac (do not take the right turn marked “Barrage de Sénéchas” which leads to the dam). After the bridge over the Homol turn right onto the D156 which takes you to Sénéchas. ITINERARY COMING FROM THE SOUTH-EAST Motorway A7 (Marseille-Lyon) until exit for Bollène. Go towards Pont Saint Esprit and Nîmes. Cross the Rhone to Pont Saint Esprit and go through onto the N86 for Bourg Saint Andéol and Aubenas. Very soon afterwards turn left onto the D901 towards Barjac. After Barjac take the D979 and the D51 for Saint Ambroix. At T-junction in Saint Ambroix turn right for Bessèges and Aubenas on the D904. After Saint Ambroix turn left for Bessèges onto the D51. Go through Bessèges and at the end, just after the church on your right, turn left for Génolhac. Cross the bridge over the Cèze and turn right onto the D17 for Génolhac. Stay on the D17, pass through Peyremale and Mas Herm towards Génolhac (do not take the right turn marked “Barrage de Sénéchas” which leads to the dam). After the bridge over the Homol turn right onto the D156 which takes you to Sénéchas. ITINERARY COMING FROM THE SOUTH-WEST Motorway Toulouse/Narbonne/Montpellier (much quicker than coming across the mountains). Do not take the exits marked Montpellier. Continue on the motorway towards Nîmes, but well before Nîmes leave at exit 27 marked Lunel / Sommières. Follow directions for Sommières till you reach the N110. Bypass Sommières and reach Alès. When you get to Alès turn right onto the ring road following signs for Aubenas until you fork right towards Aubenas/Saint Ambroix. Follow the D904 to Saint Ambroix. Turn right at the T-junction in Saint Ambroix and as you leave the town turn left for Bessèges on the D51. Go through Bessèges and at the end, just after the church on your right, turn left for Génolhac. Cross the bridge over the Cèze and turn right onto the D17 for Génolhac. Stay on the D17 through Peyremale and Mas Herm and continue towards Génolhac (do not take the right turn marked “barrage de Sénéchas” which leads to the dam.). After the bridge over the Homol turn right onto the D156 which takes you to Sénéchas. PLAN OF THE DISTRICT The above itineraries lead you to the village itself.
